How to plan a food order for a group
A practical checklist for a shared food order: collect preferences, check dishes and quantities, agree a budget and arrange one clear delivery address.

Collect everyone's choices before building the cart
A shared dinner is easier to organise when one person collects the choices first. Ask who wants an individual dish and who wants to share. Keep a simple list of each dish and its quantity so that similar orders are combined without losing anyone's choice.
Use Moonbite's live menu when sharing choices with friends. Send a dish link rather than only a photo, so everyone can open its current description and price. Do not assume that one serving feeds a particular number of people; ask the restaurant about portions if you are planning to share.
Check dietary requirements directly
Ask the group about dietary preferences before deciding on shared food. Read the details on each dish and use menu filters where helpful. A short product description may not list every ingredient or explain how the food is prepared.
If someone has an allergy or needs information about preparation, contact the restaurant before ordering. Avoid treating a menu label, a dish name or a request in an order note as a guarantee that the kitchen can meet a requirement.
Agree the budget, including delivery
Check the cart quantities and food subtotal together before placing the order. Agree how to split shared dishes and delivery so the person receiving the food does not have to work it out at the door.
For Moonbite delivery, the owner confirms a distance-based delivery fee after the order is placed and adds it to the tracking bill. If the group has a strict total budget, ask about that charge beforehand. Confirm larger orders and any timing requirements directly with the restaurant; a group order may need more preparation time.
Choose one delivery contact
Use one clear delivery address, include a useful landmark and choose a contact who can answer the courier's call. Check the order tracking page for updates and the final bill. If your plans change, contact the restaurant promptly with your order details rather than placing a second order to correct the first.
Before everyone leaves the table, check that each person's choice is on your list. A final count is a small step that can prevent a missing meal or an accidental duplicate.
